This project works to provide student scholarships to the students and teacher mini-grants for those in Madison County. The goal is to provide educational tools and financial assistance to help improve our community's education.

The Student Scholarships provide financial assistance to local students to pursue their educational goals after high school. Students should 

  • Apply for a scholarship by obtaining and completing an application from their school counselor.
  • Provide a school transcript with ACT/SAT scores
  • Two letters of recommendation that acknowledge the applicant's character, motivation, future goals
  • Complete an interview with a Money for Minds committee member

The Teacher Mini-Grants program provides financial assistance to a local teacher for deserving projects in our area schools. The criteria for these grants is listed below:

  • Available for grade K3-12
  • Consider the number of children reached
  • Can be submitted by any school personnel who works directly with students
  • May be awarded to a classroom, grade or whole school
  • Relation of project to curriculum
  • May support a new or existing program
  • Project can be completed during one school year
  • Project time-frame
  • Proposed budget
  • Materials, space, time, and staff needed

Special attention will be given to the creativity of the project and the level of student involvement. Grants will not be awarded for equipment such as computers, monitors or digital cameras.
